How to get here

Most people will travel to Calligarry by car from the mainland via the Skye bridge or the Armadale ferry.

Skye Bridge route
The most accessible route available open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and 'all year round' is via the Skye Bridge which crosses from Kyle of Lochalsh to near Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. Turn right at the roundabout at the end of the bridge and head towards Broadford for five miles before turning left for Armadale. Follow this road for 15 miles until you pass a small garage on the left. Take the next right turn (50 metres) into Ardvasar village.

Armadale / Mallaig ferry route
Travelling from the mainland via the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Armadale. Take the first left turn (250 metres) to Ardvasar village.

From Ardvasar
Follow the road through Ardvasar to the end of the village and the top of the hill. Just over the hill take a right turn up the hill again. After 200 metres there is an "S" bend where a grey gravel track on the left just above a garage leads over a small bridge across the burn. Cross the bridge and take the right hand fork up and over the hill to "The house on the Brae" at the end of the track.
